Shipping Clerk
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping Clerk to join our team at a large racing manufacturing company in Costa Mesa/Santa Ana, CA. The role involves coordinating shipping activities, maintaining compliance with shipping regulations, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This position requires a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities Coordinate shipping activities, ensuring compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations. Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. Monitor shipping costs and track shipments to ensure timely delivery. Resolve shipping-related issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively. Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities, including tracking information, costs, and delivery timelines. Manage warehouse activities related to the receipt and shipment of finished goods from multiple locations. Organize inventory, ensuring it is properly marked and labeled. Follow standard operating procedures defined for warehouse activities. Count and confirm inventory. Conduct inventory transactions in the ERP System. Build loads with a forklift and pallet jack, including loading and wrapping stock on pallets. Load and unload delivery vehicles. Move parts between internal work centers. Maintain engine kit shortages after receipt of incoming goods from vendors and internal work centers. Essential Skills Previous warehouse and shipping experience is required. Experience with international shipping and ERP systems is a must. Good customer service and people skills. General computer knowledge, particularly in data entry. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to perform job duties diligently and self-motivation to complete tasks. Understanding of inventory controls, including rotation, counting, and storage. Availability to work extended hours if required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with FedEx shipping. Familiarity with packing and data entry. Forklift operation experience. Clerical skills related to inventory and parts management. Why Work Here? Dress code is casual, suitable for warehouse work, and safety equipment is provided as necessary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Costa Mesa, California.
