St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is seeking a dedicated Neuro Surgery Physician for a locum position. Located in Youngstown, Ohio, this facility provides essential services as a Level 1 trauma center. The role includes 24-hour call coverage for urgent and emergent cases, with a commitment of one week per month starting August 2025. The ideal candidate will join a collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient demographic.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide surgical care for neurosurgery cases, including adults and trauma.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform life-saving procedures.
- Conduct a variety of neurosurgical procedures such as brain bleed stoppage, clot and tumor removal, and trauma repair.
- Perform spine surgeries, including stabilization, fusion, laminectomy, and diskectomy.
- Utilize the EPIC documentation system for patient records and surgical notes.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Board Certified in Neurosurgery (REQUIRED)
- Proven experience in trauma and urgent neurosurgery cases.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams.
- Active Ohio Medical License (REQUIRED)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (REQUIRED)
- Availability for coverage during specified dates: August 27 - September 3, from 7 AM to 7 AM (REQUIRED)
