Join Our OB Hospitalist Team in Grand Rapids, Michigan!

We are a leading integrated healthcare system seeking a full-time, board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join our dynamic OB Hospitalist Team. This position offers a patient-centered practice within a high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit, providing exceptional care in the vibrant city of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-house obstetric care and manage laboring and postpartum patients.
  • Manage obstetric emergencies, deliveries, and unassigned OB/GYN patients.
  • Round, enter orders, triage maternal patients, and cover emergency GYN consults.
  • Collaborate with an experienced clinical support staff including L&D RNs, Neonatologists, and NICU APPs.
  • Operate alongside a Level III NICU for high-risk newborn care.
  • Educate and supervise OB/GYN residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • Work collaboratively with OBs, nurses, and Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians for optimal outcomes.
  • Rotate through 24-hour shifts (6 7 per month) with holiday coverage in a structured, team-based environment.
  • Participate in a supportive and innovative atmosphere prioritizing safety for both mother and baby.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in OB/GYN.
  • Valid Michigan medical license at time of employment.
  • DEA license.
  • BLS and ACLS certification with maintenance of recertification.
  • Clean malpractice and license history preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Valid Michigan medical license.
  • DEA License.
  • BLS Certification.
  • ACLS Certification.
  • Must become Board Certified within 2 years if Board Eligible.
