We are seeking a skilled Optometrist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment at a multi-specialty clinic in California. Starting on 05/27/2025, this opportunity offers a full-time Monday to Friday schedule with potential for floating between locations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing comprehensive eye exams, yearly check-ups, and diagnosing and treating various vision conditions. This role requires the ability to work with a diverse patient population, including approximately 75% Spanish-speaking patients, with translation support available. The optometrist will be responsible for providing high-quality eye care services, utilizing the Epic electronic health record system, and working within a predominantly Medical/Medicaid patient base. Job Details: Location: California Facility Type: Multi-Specialty Clinic Start Date: 05/27/2025 LOA: 60 days Provider Type Needed: Optometrist Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-time (potential for floating between locations) Responsibilities and Duties: Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and yearly check-ups Diagnose and treat various vision conditions Perform and interpret diagnostic tests Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as needed Utilize Epic electronic health record system for patient documentation Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for patient care Provide patient education on eye health and vision care Adapt to working with a predominantly Spanish-speaking patient population Maintain accurate and timely medical records Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures Stay updated on the latest optometric practices and technologies Participate in quality improvement initiatives Manage a diverse patient base, including a high percentage of Medical/Medicaid patients Additional Information: California state optometry license required Proficiency in Epic EHR system preferred Spanish language skills beneficial but not required Possibility of assignment extension Please review and sign the attached privileging form for full core privileges Apply now to learn more!
