StaffMD has a well-established Psychiatry group in eastern Virginia seeking a Psychiatrist to join their practice. The group provides services to all ages and covers several leading hospitals in eastern Virginia. Details on the practice are as follows:
Board Certified/Board Eligible
Virginia license or license eligible
The group covers 4 hospitals and has an average daily census of 147 patients
Provider staff comprised of nine Adult Psychiatrists, two Child Psychiatrists, and four Psychiatric NPs
Group provides services to all ages, from children to the geriatric population
Practice has extensive experience with the mentally disabled, correctional patients, and alcohol and drug dependencies
Payor mix predominantly private insurance with 12-15% self-pay, no pay, or charity
Services include psychiatric hospitalization, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services
All providers have both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Physicians are assigned one main hospital to cover on a regular basis
Position minimum 50/50 mix of inpatient and outpatient, or higher concentration of inpatient up to 90%
Weekly schedule 38-42 hours, with Friday afternoons off
Flexible scheduling can be accommodated
Call coverage required 2 weekdays (phone) and 1 weekend (rounding plus call) per month
Additional compensated call opportunities offered if interested
W-2 employed position with partnership opportunity
Starting $200,000 - $220,000 depending on experience, plus production bonus
4 weeks PTO in Year 1; 5 weeks PTO in Year 2+
Medical Director and Clinical Director positions available to qualified candidates with at least 2 years experience ($225,000 - $250,000)
Partnership track/buy-in within 2-3 years provides greater income and distributions, to bring earnings potential to $600,000
