Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA About the role As Vice President and Head of Product Design at Cloudflare, you will lead design teams across our product portfolio. You will guide the feel of the debugging interface for developers deploying Serverless Applications or simplify a rule builder for non-technical users securing their web apps. Your role may involve creating a vision, setting a roadmap, and ensuring high product quality and delivery. The Product Design organization includes Product Designers, User Researchers, Design Operations, Design Engineering, and Design Systems, and is part of the broader Product organization. This role reports to the President of Product & Engineering. Your work will impact products used by millions of people and thousands of companies daily. You will work closely with the company\'s leadership, product and engineering leaders, and other cross-functional stakeholders. Lead, mentor, and grow the Product Design organization at Cloudflare (product design, design operations, design engineering, and user research). Build and refine design principles and practices. Foster a culture of diversity and inclusiveness. Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to establish near-term and long-term product vision. Refine and share design team culture and export best practices to product teams across the organization. Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to translate insights into accessible service and interface design. Own design, UX, and product experience best practices to refine and extend Cloudflare\'s design culture. Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
Experience leading world-class, sizable product design teams at technology companies (B2B a plus). Proven track record building and developing diverse design teams. Experience leading design engineering teams across multiple product lines and design systems. Deep empathy for users\' needs. Experience leading product research teams. Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills. 15+ years product/UX design experience. Technical expertise, curiosity, and understanding of network services. Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. Bay Area: Estimated annual salary of $352,000 - $430,000 New York: Estimated annual salary of $337,000 - $411,000 Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare\'s equity plan.
