Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
to support students in a school-based setting near
Darien, Connecticut
for the upcoming
Summer academic year . This opportunity offers both full-time and part-time roles based on your availability and interest. This position will focus on students requiring OT support for sensory integration, fine motor development, and daily functioning within the academic environment. You'll join a collaborative special education team and work closely with educators and families to help students reach their full potential. Job Details

Caseload:
Preschool through middle school (assignments matched to experience)
Compensation (OT):
$40$60/hour
Compensation (COTA):
$35$44/hour
Requirements
For OTs: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
Active
Connecticut OT license
Prior experience in school settings preferred
Strong documentation and time management skills
Ability to pass a background/fingerprint check per district policy
For COTAs: Associates degree from an accredited COTA program
Active
Connecticut COTA license
School-based experience preferred but not required
Must be able to work under OT supervision and follow IEP service plans
Must meet state and district employment clearances
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments (OTs), implement treatment plans, and collaborate on IEP development
Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students
Track and document student progress per district and state guidelines
Support classroom participation through accommodations and strategies
Communicate effectively with educators, caregivers, and related service teams
