CDL Truck Driver
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious CDL Truck Driver to join our operations team. The driver will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various destinations, maintaining vehicle integrity, and ensuring compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, box trucks) in accordance with DOT regulations
- Transport goods over long distances, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
- Load and unload cargo, securing freight to prevent damage during transit
- Plan routes using GPS and company dispatch systems to optimize efficiency
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and trailer
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel usage, and delivery documentation
- Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly
- Comply with company policies, safety protocols, and hours-of-service regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and cleanliness checks
Qualifications include:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class C, depending on vehicle type
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift heavy cargo and operate loading equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, liftgates)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
