Base pay range $340,000.00/yr - $370,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from CDC Global Solutions Role CDC Global Solutions are proud to be partnering with a start-up CGT CDMO following from a recent and exciting funding round. They are looking for a strong GM who will oversee Commercial, Operations, Quality, Program Management, and Finance functions, ensuring seamless integration of these disciplines. As the senior site leader, the GM will be the primary executive interface with key clients, regulators, and corporate stakeholders, balancing strategic vision with hands-on operational management. Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy Serve as the senior-most leader at the site, accountable for overall performance, compliance, and strategic growth Partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Board to define long-term goals Lead risk management, ensuring robust mitigation plans across operational, commercial, regulatory, and financial domains Oversee BD, sales and marketing to drive revenue growth and expand market share Ensure manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and facilities deliver against production targets, cost objectives, and quality standards Maintain a state of continuous readiness for regulatory inspections and client audits Oversee the Quality function to ensure full compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements, and phase-appropriate quality systems Partner with regulatory affairs and compliance teams to maintain readiness for inspections and filings Direct program management activities to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of client projects and internal initiatives Implement standardized project governance, reporting, and risk management processes Partner with Finance leadership to manage site budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure planning Optimize profitability by aligning operational performance with financial targets Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to corporate and external stakeholders Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing leadership team across all site functions Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement Ensure robust succession planning and talent development to sustain long-term organizational capability Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/CDMO sector, with proven success in general management or P&L leadership roles Demonstrated track record in overseeing multi-functional teams, including commercial, operations, and quality functions, in a regulated environment Strong understanding of cGMP manufacturing, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and advanced therapy modalities Exceptional business acumen with experience in strategic planning, budget management, and financial analysis Skilled communicator with the ability to influence at all levels, including clients, regulators, investors, and employees Proven ability to lead organizational change and drive performance in a high-growth or transformation environment How to apply If this exciting role sounds interesting to you, apply directly or reach out to Harriet Wheat at harriet@cdcglobal.co.uk Seniority level
