Job Details The Charleston office of a nationally recognized law firm is seeking an associate attorney with 2–6 years of litigation experience to join its growing team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated attorney to develop litigation skills through substantive, hands-on involvement in complex matters.
Position Overview The associate will work closely with experienced trial lawyers on a broad range of disputes, including commercial litigation, real estate matters, construction claims, and class actions. Our cases often involve multiple parties, parallel proceedings, extensive discovery, and sophisticated strategy, providing exposure to every stage of litigation in both state and federal courts.
Responsibilities
Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity.
Conduct depositions, manage discovery, and assist with trial preparation.
Contribute to the development of case strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys.
Engage directly with clients and opposing counsel in a professional and effective manner.
Qualifications
2–6 years of substantive litigation experience, preferably with complex matters.
South Carolina bar license
Strong academic background and a J.D. from a respected law school.
Excellent writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
