Job Details Description:
Our firm is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated Associate Litigation Attorney who will be a part of our team of skilled professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, legal writing, law and motion practice, toxic tort, product liability, pleadings, professional liability, and construction defect. This role demands a self starter who can hit the ground running, managing multiple complex cases while maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive compensation package and a collaborative work environment that values each team member's contributions.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of litigation including depositions, legal research, drafting and arguing motions, case management, and trial preparation. Actively participate in the firm's toxic tort, product liability, professional liability, and construction defect practices. Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents, and file them with the court. Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc). Provide advice and counsel to clients regarding legal rights, obligations, and potential liabilities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and opposing counsel. Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure effective case management. Stay current with latest developments in the law to enhance legal knowledge and skills. Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Must be a member in good standing with the Alabama (AL) state bar. Proven experience in legal research, legal writing, law and motion practice, toxic tort, product liability, pleadings, professional liability or construction defect. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting. Proficiency with legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
