The ideal candidate brings deep U.S. GAAP knowledge, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative leadership style. This role also plays a key part in process improvement, audit support, and delivering strategic financial insights.
Key Responsibilities: Team Coordination & Leadership Direct and mentor a team of four Lead Accountants Oversee daily operations, including task management, issue resolution, and general ledger activities Foster a collaborative team environment through strong communication and support Month-End Close & Accounting Operations
Manage month-end and year-end close processes Review journal entries and reconciliations for accuracy and compliance Conduct technical GAAP research and documentation when needed Financial Analysis & Reporting
Perform variance and flux analysis to identify risks and trends Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP Lead implementation of financial reporting automation tools Audit & Compliance
Serve as liaison with external auditors during annual audit Ensure internal controls are upheld and continuously improved Process Improvement
Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency Champion best practices in accounting operations and reporting automation Qualifications: Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA certification 2+ years at a top 10 public accounting firm 6+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls Experience with multi-entity consolidation and reporting Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills Preferred:
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, deFacto, and FloQast Familiarity with inventory accounting, lease accounting, and indirect tax in a distribution environment Additional Details:
