We are currently seeking a dynamic, driven, and detail-oriented Employment Litigation Associate with 3 years of experience for our Chicago or New York office. The successful candidate will be an aggressive litigator, adept at handling complex litigation matters, and have a proven track record in labor and employment disputes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with unions, handling both plaintiff and defendant cases, and have a strong desire to excel in the courtroom.

Responsibilities:

As an Employment Litigation Associate, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Handling a wide range of labor and employment disputes including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour litigation. 2. Representing clients in complex litigation matters, developing litigation strategies, and taking cases to trial when necessary. 3. Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, and managing discovery processes. 4. Advising clients on best practices for labor and employment law compliance. 5. Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing settlement agreements. 6. Collaborating with other attorneys to develop and implement effective litigation strategies. 7. Representing clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings. 8. Conducting legal research and drafting memos, briefs, and other legal documents. 9. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant labor and employment laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Employment Litigation Associate position, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. 3–10+ years of litigation experience (defense or plaintiff-side) 3. Proven experience in complex litigation and trial work. 4. Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws and regulations. 5. Experience working with unions and handling plaintiff cases. 6. Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes effectively. 7. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 8. Experience in med mal, transportation, or nursing home litigation is a plus (Chicago) 9. Experience in commercial litigation or employment law is a plus (NYC) 10. Admission to the state bar.
