Pay rate:
$35-43/hr W2 US Citizenship required Onsite only
Company is looking for a Milling Machine Machinist 2 to support our internal CNC machine shop where youll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside other machinists, programmers and engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at Launch Vehicles Business Unit in Chandler, Arizona. Must have NX experience or other related experience such as Mastercam that can read the G codes the CNC puts out.
Responsibilities: Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills, 5-axis CNC mills and multi-axis CNC lathes. Cut stock materials in preparation for machining parts. Use calibrated, precision measuring tools to check part features throughout machining to ensure part quality. Provide feedback to CNC programmers to help improve machining processes. Create simple CNC programs using NX CAM Apply clean-as-you-go and 5S principles while performing work daily.
Basic Qualifications for Milling Machine Machinist 2: 6 years machining experience. 4 or more years setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and address conflict in a constructive manner. This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Qualifications for Milling Machine Machinist 2 10 or more machining experience. 7 or more years setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. 2 or more years programming CNC machines using CAM software Working with Mitsubishi controls on a DMG-Mori lathe. Working with Haas controls on Haas 3-axis and 5-axis mills. Familiarity with aerospace industry documentation, specifications and quality requirements.
