GFiber's Vendor Procurement team's aim is to unlock value for Google to reinvest in what matters most. We do this by bringing velocity, efficiency, and security to buying at GFiber, while partnering across the organization to deliver solutions fit for purpose. As a centralized team operating in a high complexity environment, we bring one approach to stakeholders and suppliers to ensure the best outcomes. As an indirect category manager you act as a business partner and liaison between Procurement and the business area to align business and procurement strategies. You are comfortable driving tasks from sourcing to contracting and partner onboarding and excel at scaling processes. The Vendor procurement team is responsible for developing and driving holistic category strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and bringing excellence to GFiber sourcing, supplier, and agreement management. In this role, you will work in a team environment that is high-growth, fast moving, and constantly changing. You will embrace ambiguity and collaborate across teams to develop new procurement approaches and solve complex business problems. You will support operational excellence while being part of an environment where team members can grow, learn, do their best work, and feel appreciated. In this role, you'll: Develop and execute procurement strategies for categories such as IT services, marketing, facilities and professional services, ensuring alignment with stakeholder business objectives. Lead the entire vendor lifecycle, from sourcing and selection to onboarding and performance management for specific projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive procurement initiatives and implement new approaches to solve complex business challenges. Contribute to the ongoing operational excellence of scaled processes like sourcing and contract management, identifying and recommending creative improvements. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Sourcing & Delivery process to effectively address business needs and common issues. Support the compliance tracking of category-specific policies, analyze market trends, and report on performance metrics. Manage project execution from planning to delivery, identifying key stakeholders to ensure on-time completion and maximize value. At a minimum we'd like you to have: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of procurement experience in Supply Chain, business, or other related field. 4 years of experience in sourcing, negotiating, and onboarding indirect services providers. 3 years of experience in multi-disciplined procurement. It's preferred if you have: Experience participating on cross-functional and/or global teams. Experience supporting initiatives from strategy to execution and delivering results. Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. Strong knowledge of contract law and contract management.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $114,000 - $167,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
