Barista / Caf Team Member (Part-Time)
As a Barista / Caf Team Member, you'll be a frontline hospitality ambassador at our Brooklyn Campus. You'll prepare and serve coffee, teas, and snacks while ensuring the caf runs smoothly and feels welcoming for members, guests, and creators. Beyond the caf, you'll support events, activations, and campus operationshelping with setup, cleaning, dishwashing, and restocking to keep everything running seamlessly. This is a role for someone who thrives on service, teamwork, and being part of a vibrant, creative environment. Here's what you'll do day-to-day: Prepare and serve espresso drinks, drip coffee, teas, and snacks with consistency and care. Operate the caf POS system (Toast) with accuracy and accountability. Keep the caf, pantry, and scullery kitchen clean, organized, and stocked. Maintain and troubleshoot caf equipment (espresso machines, grinders, ovens, dishwashers). Restock coffee, milk, syrups, snacks, and supplies while tracking par levels. Follow health, safety, and food handling standards at all times. Provide caf service during events and activations, assisting with setup, service, and breakdown. Anticipate service needs during events, ensuring smooth flow and proactive restocking. Partner with Campus Support for dishwashing, trash removal, and cleaning shared spaces. Jump in to assist other teams when extra support is needed to keep the campus flowing. Here's what we're looking for: Previous barista, caf, or hospitality experience preferred (training available for the right candidate). Strong customer service skills with attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, creator-focused environment. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Flexible availability including evenings and weekends for events. Passion for coffee, tea, food service, and caf culture, with curiosity to keep learning. Reliable, adaptable, and hospitality-driven. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Frequent bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods. Comfortable working across both indoor and outdoor environments.
