Senior Software Engineer | Hybrid in Glendale/Santa Monica/Seattle, WA or CA | Contract / W2 Only!

Optomi, in partnership with a global leader in media and entertainment, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a role based in Glendale, CA, Santa Monica, CA, or Seattle, WA. This engineer will join the Ad Platform Decisioning & Machine Learning Platform team, developing next-generation experimentation and simulation platforms that enhance advertising experiences across the enterprise's media platforms.
This is a unique opportunity to work on large-scale, high-impact systems in a fast-paced and collaborative environmentsupporting personalization, optimization, and prediction capabilities within the advertising tech stack.

Experience of the right candidate:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong programming skills in Java, with additional experience in Python or Scala.
Experience building high-availability, scalable microservices (Spring Boot preferred).
Proficiency with AWS cloud services and distributed system design.
Familiarity with big data technologies like Spark, Airflow, and cloud-based data pipelines.
API development and integration experience.
Ability and willingness to work across backend services and data engineering domains.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in ad tech or related analytics-focused environments.
Exposure to AI/ML platforms or frameworks.
Hands-on with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Databricks, or similar.
Knowledge of simulation and A/B testing frameworks.
Background in building real-time data processing pipelines.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
Build and enhance next-gen platforms for experimentation and A/B testing in the ad delivery ecosystem.
Develop scalable backend services and simulation engines for large-scale, data-driven decisioning.
Collaborate with machine learning researchers to productize cutting-edge innovations.
Design robust, distributed systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and flexibility.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, conduct code reviews, and support automated testing practices.
Work closely with program managers, researchers, and engineers in an agile, cross-functional environment.
Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
