Job Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Associate (WA) is to accurately and productively satisfy customer requests, pull orders, handle returns, and maintain inventory integrity. The WA will effectively operate all machinery and equipment by demonstrating excellent housekeeping, safety, and organizational controls in an appropriate, timely manner. This position may also provide light-duty support tasks to assist with the upkeep and organization of the warehouse and building.
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor: Productively and accurately pull, stage, and securely package orders based on delivery date and shipping method.
- Productively and accurately pull tile and vendor products (e.g., Schluter, Laticrete) for customer orders and for other Company departments/locations.
- Utilize shipping software and/or documentation in the creation of shipping labels.
- Utilize customer/inventory software to create pulling labels and packing slips.
- Demonstrate superior customer care skills.
- Safely and efficiently operate moving equipment.
- Check and manage order accuracy.
- Report inventory counts, inaccuracies, and damages to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Accurately and carefully consolidate pallets and put away materials.
- Perform warehouse cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Contribute to safe warehouse efficiency by organizing materials and maintaining clear, hazard-free aisles.
- Support other team members with day-to-day tasks and provide additional help as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to create efficiencies.
- Demonstrate continuous, excellent safety conscientiousness by following safety standards in all work areas.
- Safely load delivery trucks based on routing schedule and weight distribution ratios.
- Consistently uphold high housekeeping standards, ensuring all areas—including both customer-facing and employee restrooms—remain clean and sanitary.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including best practices guidelines and workplace ethics.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including the occasional maintenance task assigned by the office manager.
Experience:
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, including familiarity with inventory management practices.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks or forklifts is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and order fulfillment methodologies preferred.
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience with AS400 or similar warehouse management systems is beneficial.
- Background in manufacturing or construction can be advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Expected Hours: No less than 40 per week, with rotating Saturday shifts 8:00 am to noon.
