Warehouse Associate Job at TekSynap in Springfield

Overview

We are seeking a Warehouse I.T. Associate at TekSynap in Springfield, VA. TekSynap is a fast growing high-tech company serving Federal Government customers with a focus on information management and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work with local warehouse staff on moving palletized equipment and obtaining empty pallets.
• Work with local warehouse staff on removing trash and keeping the workspace clean.
• Follow on-site staff safety and technical direction.
• Scan received equipment and validate quantities vs. expected equipment; unpallet and unbox as needed.
• Assemble network equipment and boxes per part lists; power on and perform required steps on network switches via console connection.
• When validated, power down equipment and rebox in full (include all items that need to be added to the box).
• Repalletize equipment according to direction and repack IT equipment for shipment to customer sites.
• Perform network switch upgrades, install patches, and conduct configurations; build Virtual Chassis with multiple network switches connected to MIST; perform troubleshooting as needed.
• Ensure safety compliance and keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors; report issues with IT equipment and shipments to onsite management/POC.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Logistics experience and/or network experience is a bonus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Work schedule: Day shift Monday – Friday; evenings and weekends may be required to meet program and contract needs.
• Travel: Less than 10%
