Job Summary: Disney's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Product & Tech Analytics team is seeking a Lead Data Analyst for the Commerce Analytics team. In this role, you will independently design and deliver insights on user behavior across commerce and identity initiatives, optimizing a variety of conversion and activation journeys. The role requires close collaboration with partners in product, operations, and data engineering, leadership in driving complex projects from start to finish, and presenting actionable commerce insights while balancing business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Own User Behavior Analysis: Independently analyze user journey data to uncover actionable insights and drive improvements to the Disney+, Hulu and ESPN commerce and identity flows.
  • Support Experimentation: Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests focused on sign-up, add-ons, and activation configurations, feature implementations, and engagement strategies, ensuring data integrity and actionable outcomes.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Act as a key partner to Product, Tech, Marketing, and other teams to align analytics initiatives with overarching business strategies.
  • Lead End-to-End Projects: Take full ownership of analytics projects, from identifying business needs and formulating hypotheses to delivering polished insights and recommendations.
  • Build Data Visualizations: Create dashboards and advanced reports using tools like Looker and Tableau to track performance, trends, and experimentation outcomes.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and best practices to junior analysts on topics such as data and pipeline enablement, experimentation and dashboard development.
  • Documentation & Standards: Champion the creation and maintenance of clear analytics documentation and further establish stakeholder communication standards and practices.

What to Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related discipline.
  • Proven expertise in independently designing, executing, and interpreting A/B tests.
  • Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate, cohort, and transform large datasets effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • A demonstrated ability to solve complex, ambiguous business problems with minimal guidance.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and the ability to communicate insights through compelling storytelling.
  • Familiarity with statistical tools (e.g., R, Python) and data warehousing concepts.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles is $138,900 - $186,200 per year and in New York is $145,400 - $195,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
