Pay Information:
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires: This position starts at $93,995.20 annually. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience
Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Controller, the Lead Accountant is an experienced Bartlett Regional Hospital accountant tasked with staff development and new processes. Manages the Accounting team in collaboration with the Controller. Is heavily involved in A/P and Payroll related accounting functions such as payroll backup, payroll reviews, quarterly tax calculations, personal leave, cash reconciliations for A/P and Payroll, and completes journal entries. Works with Contract Administrator and prepares auditing/cost report/budget workpapers. Responsible for the research and accounting of complex accounting transactions and special projects.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Accounting or Finance.
- Substitution: Experience or a mixture of associates degree and experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis
- Experience(s):
- Three (3) year of professional-level accounting, budgeting, or financial management experience; OR
- One (1) year of experience as a Bartlett Accountant 2
- The required professional-level experience includes analysis, preparation, or evaluation of financial records and reports; cash management; financial auditing; financial planning; or accounting systems administration.
- Preferred Experience: Performing professional financial work in the Health Care Industry. Advanced in Excel.
