Overview

The Senior Accountant gathers and analyzes financial information and ensures accurate maintenance of the general ledgers of the parent company. All these records, along with any records of all subsidiaries, will be maintained in accordance with GAAP and Capital Caring’s policies and procedures. Tasks may also include preparing monthly expense reports comparing actual, budgeted, and forecasted amounts, and reconciling balance sheets and statement accounts.

Location: Falls Church, VA

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

COVID-19 vaccine required to be completed upon start

Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant performs professional accounting work to ensure accurate compilation and maintenance of the general ledgers of the parent company and all subsidiaries. The Senior Accountant also assists with the preparation and consolidation of the financial statements.

Qualifications

Experience

The Senior Accountant must have five years of general ledger experience and two years of experience preparing consolidations of multi-entity financial statements.

Education

The Senior Accountant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. A CPA is preferred.
