Security Guard Job at Pacific Retirement Services in Albuquerque

Overview

As a Security Guard at La Vida Llena, you will provide general security through observation and reporting for all community property in an effort to promote a safe and secure environment while maintaining a progressive customer service culture.

Duties

• Provide limited traffic control on community streets and in parking lot.
• Perform “gatekeeper” duties for campus property by screening and directing all team members, residents, vendors and contractors, guests, visitors and general public as needed.
• Conduct periodic patrolling (on foot or in vehicle) throughout all common and public areas, both inside and out and check security functions during rounds.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, fire alarm and emergency call systems. Respond to all alarms throughout community property and escalate issues as necessary.
• Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures and act in a calm manner in the event of an emergency.
• Check security of vehicles during off hours.
• Maintain accurate logs, records and reports.
• Assist staff during a resident or employee emergency. Provide escorts for staff during non-regular business hours.

Shifts available

Saturday Sunday Monday Tuesday 11:30pm-7:30am / Wed-Thurs Off / Friday 3:45pm-11:45pm

Pay

$15.38 - $18.58 per hour

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 year’s experience in building and grounds security or a related field. Knowledge of alarm and communication systems.
• Ability to communicate with government agencies such as Police and Fire department. Ability to fill out forms accurately.
• Formal training or experience in self-defense methods.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and meet Pacific Retirement Services' (PRS’s) Employment Driver Guidelines.
• Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, security software, video surveillance, and other relevant business applications.
