This position is a Part-Time overnight (graveyard) Security Officer role at Pyramid Global Hospitality. The purpose of this job is to perform security duties in accordance with company standards to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Location

SpringHill/TownePlace Suites Avon Vail Valley, Avon, CO. This location description outlines a dynamic hotel environment with a commitment to guest service and guest safety.

Responsibilities

• Patrols lobbies, corridors, guest rooms, and other hotel areas; confers with management and interviews guests and employees.
• Interrogates persons to detect infringements and investigates disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, accidents, illnesses, policy violations, and other loss-related events.
• Patrols hotel areas to detect/report and/or control fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment.
• Warns or ejects troublemakers and cautions careless persons.
• Responds to, controls, provides and obtains assistance for victims of accidents and/or illness; documents such incidents.
• Notifies staff of the presence of persons with questionable reputations; assists management and law enforcement in emergencies.
• Controls situations in a calm, professional, and hospitable manner.
• Completes daily logs and incident reports; follows lost and found procedures.
• Conducts daily key inventories and reports variances; follows cab voucher and package pass procedures.
• Responds to alarm notifications and assists with emergency/evacuation training and procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED. One year security experience, and/or three years military preferred.
• Language: Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors, and fellow employees.
• Reasoning: Ability to use sound judgment in determining situations requiring immediate or emergency response.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid CPR certification and First Aid certification.

Compensation & Schedule

The compensation for this position is $25.00/hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Current need is Sunday and Monday overnight shift, subject to change based on seasonality and business need.
