Job Description

A medical practice is seeking a receptionist to clean rooms, sanitize tools, fax documents, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, greet clients, and perform other receptionist duties. You will be covering for medical leave and work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Job Duties

• Verify patient information, record medical history, document vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history
• Complete diagnostic coding and procedure coding
• Schedule surgeries with the hospitals; verify times with patients and prepare surgery schedule request forms
• Transcribe dictated notes
• Clean and prepare examination rooms at the beginning of the day, before and in between each patient
• Assist the Administrator in maintaining medical inventory, place orders, and perform other duties as directed
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• Must have previous receptionist experience preferably in a medical environment
• Must be able to keep all documents updated in a timely manner
• The ability to transcribe dictated notes is required
• Must have excellent communication, organizational, and telephone skills
• Must be computer literate with accurate data entry skills
• Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality
