Job Title: Electrician

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrician inspects, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, systems, buildings, facilities, and physical structures. Working from general verbal and written instructions and following established operating procedures, the Electrician performs the following duties:
  • Inspect electrical equipment and machinery, diagnose faults, determine corrective actions, and document findings in maintenance scheduling programs.
  • Configure, commission, troubleshoot, and start up AC/DC drives, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Distributive Control Systems (DCS) with minimal engineering assistance.
  • Document all electrical changes by updating plant drawings and notifying Engineering.
  • Ensure proper labeling of wires and devices inside and outside panels.
  • Assist junior maintenance personnel with understanding electrical symbols and accuracy of drawings.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate electrical panel drawings.
Qualifications:
  • Full-time Electrician.
  • High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in assembling and installing various electrical circuits, systems, instrumentation, and equipment, such as motors, regulators, controllers, generators, and switches.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing tools including multi-meters, voltmeters, ammeters, and ground locating equipment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems and switchgear.
  • Understanding of Underwriter codes, national codes, state and local regulations, and company policies.
  • Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in typical electrical assignments.
