Job Summary

The Human Resources Specialist 3 will support Georgia agencies through the Human Resources Administration (HRA) division by implementing talent solutions with a strong focus on talent acquisition and performance management programs. This role involves developing and delivering training, providing consultation and analysis, and offering technical expertise in the use of the State’s HR information system (Workday branded as GA@WORK). The ideal candidate will be technologically savvy, results-driven, and detail-oriented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver training and content for GA@WORK, the State’s HR information system.
  • Provide training and resources to agency recruiters on talent pool optimization, internship programs, interviewing, hiring best practices, and using Workday for recruiting.
  • Research GA@WORK training best practices to support continuous program improvement.
  • Analyze GA@WORK data and generate both graphic and narrative reports.
  • Maintain and update training course materials, exercises, handouts, and exams.
  • Conduct instructor-led training sessions, both virtual and in-person, for state entity staff.
  • Utilize systems training environments and tools for student learning activities.
  • Assist with maintenance of HRA’s Learning Management System (LMS), including course enrollment and administrative support.
  • Respond to requests from various stakeholders.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience

  • High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related HR experience; OR
  • One (1) year at the HR Specialist 2 (HRP021) level or equivalent.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience using Workday Core HCM, Compensation, or Talent Optimization modules.
  • Experience delivering HRIS systems training.

Required Skills

  • Training delivery across multiple methods (in-person, online, virtual, multimedia).
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Program management and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Workday systems expertise (administration or training).
  • HRIS systems training.
  • Data analysis and report generation.

Additional Skills

  • Aptitude for learning and using technology for training and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Self-awareness and adaptability to system implementations.
  • Some travel may be required.
