We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
to join our educational team in Sacramento, CA. This full-time position spans the entire academic year and offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' communication skills and academic success. Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Implement documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising SLP.
Support students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication needs.
Assist in conducting screenings without interpretation.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and session notes.
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student communication goals.
Participate in IEP meetings and student support activities as requested.
Qualifications:
Associates degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program OR Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders plus completion of SLPA certification requirements.
Valid and current
California SLPA license
required.
Previous experience in a school setting preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Passion for helping children reach their full communication potential.
