We are looking for an experienced
Plant Manager
to oversee and optimize a tortilla manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, IN. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about ensuring production excellence, safety, and authenticity in food manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations across production, packaging, maintenance, sanitation, receiving, and shipping. Champion safety, OSHA, and regulatory compliance across the facility. Manage plant budgets and drive cost-control initiatives. Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, waste reduction). Supervise, coach, and develop supervisors and production leads. Monitor and analyze operational KPIs (OEE, efficiency, uptime) to drive improvements. Foster employee engagement through clear communication and regular team meetings. Ensure products consistently meet company quality and authenticity standards.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred). 5–10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, ideally in food production. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven success in driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production data analysis tools. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
