As Tax Manager for International Markets, you will oversee all international tax matters across the group's overseas operations. This role focuses on transfer pricing management, international tax risk mitigation, compliance oversight for overseas subsidiaries, and delivering proactive tax guidance on new business opportunities. You will collaborate closely with local tax advisors, business leaders, and finance teams to ensure tax efficiency, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation across all jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Transfer Pricing Management
Collaborate with external tax advisors to establish and implement transfer pricing frameworks across international markets Work closely with line managers and business teams on pricing strategies for various projects, delivering solutions to optimize tax efficiency Ensure timely preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation in compliance with OECD standards and local regulations Monitor intercompany transactions and profit margins, identify potential risks, and recommend appropriate adjustments
International Tax Risk Management
Partner with external tax advisors to develop a comprehensive global tax risk map Track changes in global and local tax regulations, assessing their potential impact on business operations Evaluate and manage international tax exposures (including CIT, VAT/GST, WHT, customs, and BEPS-related risks) Advise management on tax risk areas and propose effective mitigation strategies
Tax Compliance Oversight for Overseas Subsidiaries
Coordinate with local tax service providers to ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate tax, VAT/GST, transfer pricing, and other statutory requirements Review local tax submissions and compliance reports to verify alignment with group policies Oversee local tax audits and inquiries, collaborating with advisors and group tax leadership
Business Support & Risk Assessment
Provide early-stage tax risk assessments for new business initiatives, investments, and cross-border projects Offer tax guidance on business models, contract structures, and entity establishment in international markets Collaborate with commercial and legal teams to integrate tax considerations with operational objectives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Law; CPA/ACA/CTA or equivalent professional qualification preferred 8+ years of experience in international tax, ideally with exposure to Big 4 accounting firms and multinational corporations Strong knowledge of OECD transfer pricing guidelines, BEPS developments, and international tax principles Proven experience coordinating across multiple jurisdictions and managing relationships with external advisors Excellent analytical, communication, and project management capabilities Native Chinese speaker with fluent English
