Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
CNC Supervisor
to oversee daily operations of our CNC machining department. The CNC Supervisor will lead a team of machinists, programmers, and operators to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role requires strong technical expertise in CNC machining, leadership skills to drive team performance, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and mentor CNC machinists and operators to achieve production goals. Plan, schedule, and prioritize machining work to meet customer requirements and deadlines. Ensure all CNC equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and operated safely. Review blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining. Monitor production quality, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with engineering and programming teams on process improvements and new part setups. Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, and efficiency metrics. Enforce safety policies and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Assist with hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions within the CNC department.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or degree in manufacturing, machining, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc, Haas, or similar), tooling, and machining processes. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings. Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
