Ainsley Search Group is hiring a
Supply Chain Manager
with seasoned tenure in S&OP, Materials Planning, Purchasing, for a Global Manufacturer located in the greater Philadelphia market. This Supply Chain Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and lead a team of purchasing and sourcing to streamline the Supply Chain Operations among inventory, production, purchasing, logistics and sourcing. This is a Full-time, permanent opportunity with lucrative base salary, bonus and competitive benefit! In addition, company would like to develop this individual to become the Supply Chain Director.
Responsibilities: Report to the Director of Operations and lead a Supply Chain Team (Purchasing, Sourcing, and Inventory) to streamline material flows based on demand forecast. Develop and implement a S&OP process to improve accuracy on demand forecast, inventory planning, purchasing and logistics. Develop and improve Inventory KPI on raw and finished goods, optimize safety stock strategy to avoid shortage and further improve inventory accuracy based on forecast and capacity. Manage oversea and domestic vendors, analyze vendor KPI on backorder ratio, delivery time, quality, etc.; conduct root cause with vendor to improve vendor performance and further achieve on-time deliveries. Oversee purchasing process and based on annual spend, demand and capacities to lead procurement strategies such as new supplier sourcing, qualification, on-boarding, etc. Lead negotiations with suppliers to drive cost saving across contract, terms, shipment, etc. Drive continuous improvement in material cost, quality, supplier performance, lead-time across logistics, inventory, and vendors. Collaborate with 3PL on import, export and domestic shipments (railcar, LTL, Trucking), identify cost effective routes and source for new logistical methods as needed, ensure import/export compliance. Support vendor sourcing, negotiations, and contract renewal; support new product development, source and qualify new materials, analyze warehouse space to identify best stocking strategy for new products.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, Business or related field. 7+ years of recent work experience as Planning Manager, Supply Chain Manager, S&OP Manager or related field within manufacturing, experience with custom manufacturing environment is a plus. Experience with fast speed, high yield manufacturing industries desired. Strong negotiation skill and vendor relationship and sourcing skills. Solid knowledge in ERP/MRP systems, strong analytical and problem-solving skill, ability to make difficult decisions. Hands-on leadership skill, ability to motivate and develop team.
