Position Overview The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations with a particular emphasis on benefits administration, compliance, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This multifaceted role supports the organization’s ongoing efforts to optimize processes while fostering a positive employee experience. The selected candidate will also have ample opportunities to expand their leadership skills and grow into a managerial role within the HR team. Key Responsibilities
1. Benefits Administration Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and wellness initiatives. Partner with benefits providers and vendors to ensure smooth delivery and quick resolution of employee inquiries or issues. Evaluate, recommend, and implement enhancements to current benefits programs to bolster competitiveness and employee satisfaction. 2. HR Compliance Stay up to date with federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure organizational compliance. Develop and update HR policies and procedures in alignment with legal guidelines and industry best practices. Conduct audits of HR processes and documentation to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks. 3. HRIS Management Manage and maintain the organization’s HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility. Train employees and managers on HRIS functionality to optimize usage across the company. Streamline HRIS reporting to deliver actionable insights to senior leadership and support budget planning and workforce strategy. Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 2–4 years of experience in a generalist HR role, with proven expertise in benefits administration, compliance, and HRIS. Proficiency in HR technology platforms such as ADP, Workday, or comparable systems. Preferred Skills & Certifications SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification. Experience with HR analytics and reporting to guide HR strategy. Familiarity with payroll systems.
