Process Engineer Location: Lewisburg, TN

Key Responsibilities: 1.) Process Analysis and Optimization: Evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Conduct thorough analyses, including statistical analysis, to understand process performance and variability. Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, improve productivity, reduce waste, and minimize production costs. 2.) Process Design and Development: Design new manufacturing processes or modify existing ones to meet product specifications and production requirements. Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes into production environments. Perform feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed process changes or new technology implementations. 3.) Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in cross-functional teams focused on continuous improvement projects. Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other improvement tools to drive process enhancements and achieve operational excellence. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor process performance and track improvement initiatives. 4.) Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and company policies. Work closely with quality assurance and regulatory affairs teams to maintain product quality and safety standards. Investigate and resolve quality issues by implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) as necessary. 5.) Technology Implementation and Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in manufacturing to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency gains. Implement new technologies, equipment, or automation solutions to enhance process capabilities and competitiveness. Stay abreast of advancements in process engineering and related fields through continuous learning and professional development. 6.) Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and process-related data. Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings, project status, and recommendations to stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper documentation and training materials are available for process changes or new implementations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Previous experience in process engineering or related roles within manufacturing or industrial settings. Proficiency in process simulation software, statistical analysis tools, and CAD software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to manufacturing processes (e.g., FDA, ISO). Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
