RETS Associates on behalf of our client is seeking an
Asset Management Associate
in
New York, NY . The Associate will provide analytical support to regional and national teams charged with maximizing property values through operations (leasing, capital, development & redevelopment) and capital markets (financings, dispositions, etc.).
Assess investment returns, leverage strategies, cash flow forecasts, sales timing, and distributions; collaborate with Market Leads on assumptions and broker engagement. Support underwriting, due diligence, and closings for dispositions and debt; manage buyer/lender communications; review Argus models, financial assumptions, and closing materials. Serve as strategic partner to Market Leads, challenging assumptions and guiding financial decisions that drive company and asset performance. Develop and maintain market business plans aligned with property vision, organizational values, and growth objectives. Lead financial analyses including hold/sell, repositioning, leasing, and funding requests.
Ideal Candidate: 3-5 years of CRE investment/asset management experience, ideally with Office and/or Retail asset classes. Experience analyzing transactional including acquisitions, dispositions, refinances, and leasing. Exceptional Excel and financial modeling skills with a working knowledge of IRR, NPV, and other fundamental real estate metrics ARGUS strongly preferred.
