Job Summary: The Angle Roll Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining angle rolling machines to bend metal structural shapes such as angles, channels, tubes, and beams into required radii and configurations. The operator ensures that finished products meet specified tolerances, dimensions, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation: Operate angle roll machines (manual or CNC) to bend metal to specified shapes and dimensions. Adjust machine settings such as pressure, roll position, and speed to accommodate different materials and bending requirements. Perform pre-operation checks and ensure machine is running safely and efficiently.

Setup & Calibration: Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and drawings to determine setup requirements. Select appropriate tooling and dies for the material and job. Measure and mark material to prepare for rolling process.

Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring tools (e.g., calipers, protractors, tape measures). Make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and minimize waste. Document production information and maintain accurate records.

Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on rolling equipment. Identify mechanical issues and report to maintenance team. Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.

Qualifications: Experience: 1–3 years of experience operating angle roll machines or similar fabrication equipment preferred. Experience with structural steel and metal fabrication processes.

Skills: Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings. Strong math and measuring skills. Familiarity with material properties (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.). Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials (50+ lbs.). Stand for extended periods; bend, reach, and kneel as needed. Work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, heat, and dust.

Preferred Qualifications: Forklift certification. Welding or other fabrication skills. Experience with CNC angle roll machines. Ironworker and saw experience are a plus.
