Overview We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and execution-focused Staff Business Analyst to join our Risk team with a dedicated focus on vendor partnerships. You will be responsible for delivering deep insights into vendor performance, driving cost optimization strategies, and partnering with policy, operations, finance, and procurement teams to influence and scale our vendor engagement model. This role is ideal for someone with strong business acumen, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a cross-functional, high-stakes environment.
Responsibilities Delivering data-driven insights that shape sourcing, contracting, and vendor performance decisions.
Partner with policy and operations teams to assess vendor impact on customer experience, financial loss, and operational efficiency.
Analyze vendor usage and effectiveness across multiple use cases (e.g., fraud detection, collections, identity verification) to identify consolidation or optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with Finance and Procurement to develop forecasting models, ROI frameworks, and vendor cost projections.
Review and verify vendor invoices to ensure accuracy, correct coding, and timely payment.
Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and respond to invoice-related inquiries.
Support month-end and quarter-end accrual processes to ensure proper financial reporting.
Maintain accurate tracking of vendor commitments, purchase orders, and payment status.
Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and executive-level readouts summarizing vendor value and business outcomes.
Support escalations and high-priority vendor issues with structured data analysis and recommendations.
Influence vendor strategy through structured deep dives, financial modeling, and scenario planning.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field; or commensurate experience.
5–8 years of experience in business analysis, risk analytics, operations strategy, or vendor management, ideally in a tech or fintech environment.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Strong communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership.
Demonstrated ability to translate data into action and drive process improvements at scale.
Preferred Experience with third-party risk management, procurement analytics, or vendor governance frameworks.
Familiarity with Intuit products, fintech ecosystems, or the broader financial risk landscape.
Experience working with risk-related vendors (e.g., fraud detection, underwriting tools, KYC/AML platforms).
Compensation and Benefits Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance approach. The expected base pay range for this position varies by location: Bay Area, CA: 164,500.00 – 223,000.00; Southern California: 147,000.00 – 199,000.00. This position is eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
