City: Eureka State: CA Start Date: Pending Privileges End Date: TBD Description: LOCUM- Pediatric Hospitalist PREFER ONE PROVIDER THAT CAN WORK BOTH SETS OF DATES, REQUIRED TO HAVE A CLEAN FILE AS NOVEMBER DATES WILL REQUIRE TEMPS If a provider does not have a clean file they will not be pushed forward for review as we can not privilege them in time so please only present those that can qualify. NRP Required Schedule: 6am-6am24hr call only (not required to be in house) URGENT DATES: 11/7 6am to 11/11 6am12/21 6am-12/28 6am We don't do central line placement outside the newborn period (UVC and UAC are technically central lines but only for neonates)chest tubes, intubations for pediatric patients would most likely occur in the ED. ED docs and anesthesia would typically have significantly more experience here.oREQUIRED•Neonatal airway management including intubation•Management of neonatal air leak/pneumothorax including needle decompression•Emergent UVC placement (delivery room)•UVC/UAC placement•Lumbar puncture•EKG interpretationoPreferred•Ventilator management•Chest tube insertion (neonates)Please note that the privileging timeline will not begin until the RFA and application are turned back in. Typical turn around for RFA is 48-72 hours. Application should be submitted within 5 days.oAll specialties require 2 years of current Hospital clinical activity in the specialty.oGaps greater than 3 months must be explained.oInclude current number of case logs upon presentation for surgical specialties. Provider must have an active CA license and they must be BC or truly BE within 3-5 years of residency. 1099 Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rates (W-2 Pay Packages available upon request) Certification Requirements: Please confirm credential requirements with VHS upon application.
