Hematology Scope: Includes benign and malignant cases

EMR System: Epic
Office Equipment Available: TBD
Specialty Backup Available: Interventional Radiology (handles most bone marrow procedures)
Support Staff Available: 1 MD, 1 NP, additional nursing staff
Reason for Coverage: Vacancy (until full-time hire)

Credentialing Timeline: 120 days
Compliance

Requirements: Immunization record, flu vaccine or declination, negative TB or QuantiFERON Gold test within 1 year of start

Bone marrow procedures is a plus (most handled by IR)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active NY license (required)
Board: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (required)
Certifications: Flu vaccine or declination, negative TB/QuantiFERON Gold test within 1 year
Experience: Outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice experience preferred
Other Qualifications: Immunization record required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care for adults
Manage patient caseload of 1215 patients/day
Collaborate with onsite NP, nursing staff, and physician team
Document encounters accurately in Epic EMR
