JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active Virginia medical license and DEA (must be in hand)
- Board: BE/BC in Emergency Medicine, IM, or FP with ER experience (must be certified within 7 years of residency)
- DEA: Active DEA Certification
- Certifications: ATLS required (if not EM Boarded), ACLS required if not EM Boarded
- Experience: ER experience required
- Other Qualifications: Clean file submissions only; no moonlighting residents
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide emergency medical care for a diverse patient population
- Work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
- Perform admissions, consults, and emergency stabilization procedures
- Collaborate with general surgery and specialty teams
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital standards
