Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner

StaffMed Health Partners is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a full-time, permanent emergency medicine position in Southwest Louisiana. This role offers the chance to practice in a busy emergency department with a supportive clinical team, flexible scheduling, and competitive compensation.

Position Highlights:

• Annual volume: 22,000 visits
• 14-bed emergency department
• Average patients per provider/day
• Coverage: 24/7 physician (12-hour shifts) + hours/day APP coverage (varied shifts, some double coverage)
• Full-time = 120 hours/month (W2 employment)
• Shifts available: 8, 10, or 12 hours

Requirements:

• Board Certified NP/PA, with active license and prescriptive authority in the State of Louisiana required
• Minimum 1-2 years of emergency medicine or acute care experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong ability to work in a high-volume emergency setting
