Veterinary Assistant at VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital
Join Our Amazing Team at VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital. We're currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated and compassionate team. Full-time opportunity with a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts. We are open Monday - Thursday 8 am - 8 pm, Thursday 8 am - 4 pm, and Saturday 9 am - 4 pm. At VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital, we are dedicated to helping pets live long, healthy, and happy lives. Our team of skilled veterinarians, technicians, and support staff are trained to the highest standards, ensuring that every patient receives top-notch preventive and healing care. What You'll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities): Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams and procedures Take patient histories and perform TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration) Restrain animals safely and compassionately Prepare and clean exam rooms Assist with radiographs, lab sample collection, and basic in-house diagnostics Maintain accurate medical records and support charting Provide client education and ensure excellent service during visits Support surgery prep and recovery as needed Help maintain a clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment Benefits of Joining the VCA Lakewood Team!
