Job Title: Customer Care Associate - Manufacturing

Position Summary: The Customer Care Associate will act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, managing the customer relationship from the time a purchase order is received through the successful completion of the order. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively across departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the liaison between customers, sales, and internal departments, including manufacturing and logistics. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints. Collaborate with sales and production teams to establish accurate pre-order lead times. Review and validate all incoming customer orders, ensuring requested due dates are feasible. Execute inbound and outbound EDI and spreadsheet sales order bookings. Verify accuracy of order entry and maintain updates in the system. Monitor inventory levels and manage item availability for customer orders. Track order progress and shipping status, providing updates and tracking information as needed. Coordinate shipping with logistics teams and customers when required. Support project managers with quality concerns, claims, and resolutions. Assist sales managers with customer reporting requirements. Handle additional tasks as assigned by leadership. Qualifications:
Education:
2 years of college coursework or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum: 1 year of customer service experience, including account management. Preferred: 2 years of account or project management in a manufacturing environment, ideally within custom production. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is helpful. Experience with ERP systems such as Global Shop Solutions is a plus.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under pressure. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Comfortable with frequent movement around the office. Proficient in using a computer and other office equipment. Able to work extended hours as needed to meet customer demands. Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel may be required, including inter-plant travel, to support customer needs. #IND1
