Manufacturing Electrician
*Night Shift 7pm-7am (2-2-3 Schedule) $36 per hour*
Job Description
This Electrician role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of the plant's industrial electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PLC, VFDs, AC-DC Drives, and relay logic control systems.
- Perform control panel troubleshooting and wiring.
- Instruct co-workers on PLC/VFD/AC-DC Drive logic.
- Use a voltmeter; check and replace fuses, motor starter, relays, pumps, motors, and AC-DC systems; troubleshoot faulty electric circuits.
- Assist the general maintenance crew with equipment rebuild, plant shutdowns, and new equipment installations.
- Perform preventive maintenance as prescribed and recommend alterations to preventive maintenance as more data is collected.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
- Assist all departments with breakdowns.
- Follow all safety requirements of this position.
- Perform daily maintenance sheets on all plant equipment as per work sheet.
- Scope may vary based on the size and complexity of the plant and equipment.
- May have to support CAPEX projects and activities.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting PLC, VFDs, AC-DC Drives, and relay logic control systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, blueprint, and schematic reading.
- Ability to perform conduit bending and electrical wiring.
- Journeyman electrician with a 2-year technical degree or electrical certification, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Night Shift 7pm-7am (2-2-3 Schedule).
- First 60-90 days will involve working/training with the leadership team on day shift 7am-3:30 PM M-F.
- May need to support multiple shifts and provide on-call assistance.
- Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects.
- Mobility sufficient to allow frequent entrance and exits from lift truck.
- Must be able to wear dust mask, earplugs, face shields as necessary.
- Ability to climb ladders, listen to equipment, look for defects in product, and sense temperature changes in the finished product.
- Stand and walk long distances on the plant floor for 8 to 12 hours on a shift and work around hot machinery.
- Occasional climbing, reaching, squatting, and bending to operate and fix equipment.
- Work in an environment that may be exposed to external elements (hot and cold temperatures) and occasional loud noises.
- Able to lift and carry, push/pull up to 50lbs multiple times per shift.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.
