As an Associate Designer, you will play a key role in developing collections that align with our brand identity and market trends. You’ll contribute creative, customer-focused, and brand-right ideas, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life. Design products for a specific category with oversight from Designer/Senior Designer, ensuring alignment with line plan requirements. Develop design concepts, themes, colors, fabrications, silhouettes, and direction for upcoming seasons. Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and presentation materials (design decks, mood boards, sample mock-ups). Select materials and trims, collaborating with Technical Design, Merchandising, and Sourcing teams. Assist with fittings, sample reviews, and make adjustments based on feedback. Maintain design files, mood boards, and archives. Research current fashion trends, analyze consumer preferences, and conduct market research. Execute seasonal line plans and meet product development calendar deadlines. Evaluate lab dips, strike offs, and trim development approvals. Clearly articulate design sketches with detailed callouts, understanding garment construction and fabric/trim end use. Skills
Bachelor's degree in Apparel or Fashion Design or equivalent related work experience with a strong sense of garment construction. 2-4 years of experience in the Design field or related field. Proficiency in PLM, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop – knowledge of CAD and 3D software, a plus. Ability to do flat drawings/sketches for design and prototypes. Strong creative point of view and eye for color and pattern. Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team environment. Excellent organizational skills and communication skills. Strong collaboration, process driven, creative problem solving.
