We are looking for an X-ray Technologist at our Chicago, IL location, who would report to our Manager of Radiology. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities
Prepare patient for radiologic procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. Maintain working knowledge in the use of PACS, DR and CR radiologic equipment. Use C-Arm where appropriate. Prepare medications for, and assist the physician with fluoroscopic procedures. Maintain radiology rooms and stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies. Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures. Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of the specified area of the body requested by the physician. Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation. Move imaging equipment into the specified position, determine exposure factors based on height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjust equipment controls to produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy. Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures. Assist physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations. Measure and prepare medications and contrast media. Process images and review for proper identification and quality control. Prepare images for reading by the requesting physician. Notify the Radiology Manager regarding malfunctions and repairs as needed. Properly use EHR to enter CPT codes for billing purposes. Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience
Graduate of an accredited X-Ray Technologist Program ARRT Certification is required. IEMA Certification is required. What’s in it for you
MOR offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Pay Range:
$32.00 - $37.00 per hour . Compensation is determined by multiple factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
