Job Description TheUndergraduate Nursing Director for the School of Nursing, College of Health leads a multi-campus teamdedicated to educating the nursingprofessional workforce of Idaho. The Director is responsible to design,implement, and evaluate all aspects of the baccalaureate degree program. Theprogram includes traditional (first degree) students, accelerated (seconddegree) students, and Completion (Associate degree RN) students.
This is a 12-month position and reports to the AssociateDean/Director of the School of Nursing and will be located at the main campusin Pocatello, Idaho. Travel is required. This position is a clinical track faculty role with responsibilities inteaching, scholarship, and service. The Director works collaboratively with theAssociate Dean and Director of the School of Nursing, as well as the ProgramManager of the BSN Program. This is anopen-rank, clinical track faculty position eligible for promotion under currentguidelines established by the School of Nursing, College of Health, KasiskaDivision of Health Sciences, and Idaho State University. Key Responsibilities
Day to day management, operations and oversight of the undergraduate programs Develop a vision for excellence in undergraduate nursing education Teach a course each semester Ongoing evaluation and process improvement Maintain strong relationships with clinical partners Contribute to the expansion of clinical placement opportunities across the state Support the strategic growth of all nursing programs Assist in maintaining ongoing CCNE accreditation Ensure equity in student experience across all campuses Guide implementation of a simulation program into undergraduate curriculum Manage department resources and budget Recruitment, retention, and development of undergraduate faculty and staff Responsible for developing and maintaining an accountable culture among faculty, staff and students Curricular oversight Experience with inter-professional collaboration Integrates nursing theory to advance the professional practice of nursing through evidenced based practice, quality improvement and research Supervises: - Undergraduate Faculty - Undergraduate Program Manager
Minimum Qualifications MS in Nursing Two yearsleadership experience Activeunencumbered Idaho RN license Clinical Assistant Professor: - Master's in Nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing. - Demonstrated ability to lead/manage undergraduate programs in nursing baccalaureate or higher. - Potential for scholarship, research, and grants/contracts. - Active unencumbered RN license in the state of Idaho. Clinical Associate Professor: -all of the above qualifications, plus -Doctorate in Nursing or a minimum of 3 years as Nursing Faculty Preferred Qualifications Doctoraldegree in Nursing Experienceleading multi-site teams across distances Experience directingprograms in baccalaureate or higher nursing
