Warehouse Operator

The warehouse operator drives a forklift to pull orders, loads and unloads trucks, restocks materials and helps with customer calls by performing the following duties. Key Duties
Drives forklift Provides exceptional customer service Pulls orders from pick tickets Unloads and loads trucks Restocks inventory Inspects forklifts Cleans warehouse Assists with ordering stock Counts inventory Demonstrates ability to work in a fast paced environment Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/experience: 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred. Language ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Math ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates and licenses: Forklift certification Valid driver's license Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Physical demands: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
