Job Summary
The Associate, Warehouse Operations, is an entry-level operational role within the Operations department, responsible for supporting the warehouse team in the efficient, safe, and compliant processing of warehouse activities. Reporting directly to the Lead Associate/Supervisor, Warehouse Operations, this individual will be responsible for performing various tasks related to receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping, contributing to the smooth flow of warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations: Perform a variety of warehouse tasks, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners, safely and efficiently, as certified.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all warehouse transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Follow all established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
- Documentation and Systems: Accurately and efficiently enter data into relevant systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Assist with maintaining organized warehouse records.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all relevant safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and security procedures.
- Promote a safe work environment and report any safety hazards.
- Ensure proper handling of materials and equipment.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with other team members and Lead Associate/Supervisor.
- Report any operational issues or delays to the Lead Associate/Supervisor.
- Provide clear and concise information to others.
- Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions to develop knowledge of warehouse procedures, regulations, and systems.
- Seek guidance from the Lead Associate/Supervisor and other team members to improve skills and understanding.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Other Duties: Perform general housekeeping duties within the production area.
- Perform other department members' duties during their breaks, lunch, or as designated by Supervisor/Manager.
- Obligation: Follow instructions from Supervisor/Manager.
- Positive Attitude: Positive attitude is a must, and able to function as part of a team.
- Able to multitask in both office and warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Entry-level position; some experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with warehouse work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift certification).
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Basic computer skills.
