Position: Accountant

Role will be 100% remote through the end of 2026. Please note, only candidates residing on the East Coast (within travel distance to NYC area) can be considered.

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Corporate Services and Events Management company to fill a long-term, temporary (remote) Accountant position based out of the NYC Metro area.

Overview

This is a 100% remote, temporary Accountant role with placement in the NYC Metro area. The assignment is through the end of 2026 with potential for extension.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger maintenance including account reconciliation, transactional journal entries, and adjusting journal entries
• Work with members of the Accounting team across the US to prepare and analyze financial statements
• Reconcile bank statements on a monthly basis
• Periodically assist with and oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed for upcoming events
• Collaborate with Finance team on forecasting expenses and budget preparation
• Work with internal and external auditors through audit processes
• Provide guidance to junior level accounting staff as needed
• Complete ad-hoc projects as needed

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

Qualifications

• 4+ years of general accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups) for reporting
• Large ERP system experience is highly desired (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills as the role is 100% remote

Schedule

• 100% remote but MUST reside on the East Coast

Hours

• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (up to 40 hours per week, occasional overtime)

Employment Type

• Temporary position through the end of 2026 with potential to be extended

Pay Details: $38.00 to $44.00 per hour
